Chefs Choice purchased 610 put then saw the Waring FS150 (similar but a professional model with a bigger engine) is $ 30 less an hour later. Bought that one also his intention to seek reviews online and decide at home. Once you’ve read reviews (great reviews for Cooks selection, terrible reviews for Waring), and reference manuals, and (still can not believe you can not access the Waring for more than 10 minutes at a time and very poor design), the commanders decided to keep the selection. Used it to slice roast beef, swiss cheese and fried turkey. All worked well, and the device is very easy to use. Just took about 5 minutes total. The unit is slightly larger than I would have liked, but all the food cutter is the same dimensions. Sponsor an extra $ 30.
I was in the restaurant equipment business for over 35 years and sold hundreds of Comercial cutters, such as Hobart, Globe, etc. This is not a commercial machine, but he thinks he is. It requires a supurb cut paper-thin or a thick slice of rye. I do not use it as often as I want, but it is relatively easy to clean and a great addition to any kitchen.
I have a Chef Choice Model 610 I put a couple of weeks before Christmas to make an eye on my Christmas dinner prep easier. And what a nice addition to this I put the food was. It is easy to install, easy to use, has adequate security and provides space for a jiffy. Because I wanted to use it for slicing large hams. . . . My Ham is more blade factory, which is about $ 30 I used to cut my Christmas ham instead of the serrated knife, which will be the product price.
This is an excellent cutter.
When I was young, we had a veteran in the meat slices on the crank. Every Friday is me and my dad and uncle and I scrapped puppy “should be from hand-cut meat sandwiches, dinners and spend the rest of the week.
Later in life I got a really big grinding, smoking, and make your own sausage, meat and other issues. My father moves to an old hand crank meat slicer family.
Wow, I remember what a lot of work is o_O
This led me to play electric mower buy. I used some that were ok, what I bought and what I borrowed. They were skinny and what not.
When I saw the Chef’s Choice 610 that my dad bought me a gift… < br />
The first thing I noticed was its superior design and construction. It is a thin disk, this bad boy at all. Everything is nice and stable. Lots of handwork went to do this. Even the slider to the table where you put the meat into a large a solid piece of metal, as opposed to thin each rail systems I used in the past.
Setting, slicing the size of the back plate, which is a pretty solid piece of metal also. I think the correction back to keep away. This is important when spend your time just to break up bacon cured and smoked homemade.
pusher is a good food grade plastic that is easy to clean.
clean speech, I must say… This is just put I ever spent my whole life, that it is easy to continue the cleaning. So if you are not a large area or Hobart Reys, but talking about almost a big price to understand.
in front of a big switch in the middle of the right to use push to lock when not in use, and links to press the power button for cleaning.
knob back to 0 “zero” and then select the entire back plate can now be slipped for cleaning.
Instead of a screwdriver to dismantle a knife, just the center of pop lock and enter the turn and the blade in place.
These three simple things and you have full access to all of these very clean cut.
I say I wish the newspaper center nut company built alittle more, because I can see where it can break easily. However, you can only use a knife and take off for cleaning or changing anything, so theres no reason to continually play with it, plus much more beautiful than the screwdriver method. The only thing that we have to do is to use the center of the blade nut is to use a slow and soft, and everything goes well.
< ; br /> But even that one thing, this is an awsome slices still gets a big 5 stars from me.
Some people think that the engine is slow. I can say from experience with other cutting tools, unless you should be $ 500 – $ 1,000 range, you do not find a professional mower turbo engine. However, the engine Chef’s Choice 610 dosn’t was cutting loads of pork as a whole square, unlike many other cutting tools, I have used that you can hear the engine starts to jam and delay . the selection of the head of this engine 610 is a very powerful, so do not let that fool you.
I really can not live off of this device, what do I do meat. And very grateful for this gift for my dad who gets to eat awsome all the results… But someone who does not make sausages and cured meats, you can have as much money to buy bologna, salami, bread, turkey, ham, bread, etc. in bulk and slicing yourself at home. These slices into 2 inch pieces, if I remember correctly, a little thicker, but the use of electric knife. And Deli cuts close to the wafer quality.
alittle trick that can help those who think this can not be thin border uncut throw meat to the freezer for about 10 minutes slightly firm, not frozen. This is a company and cutting more manageable than at room temperature, loose and flabby. so you can pretty much easier to control the quality of Deli slices.
Enjoy, i know that I have this puppy !)
I have many copies of the whole slice of meat Italian – Salami, and Mortadela procuitto. This put a basic, economical home to run somewhere and put nearly deli slices. The device itself is too small for a great product to take the knife is too slow for doing a good job hard cheese. The engine really starts to burn fast courts. In addition, it is certainly not super-thin slice – it just is not so strong.
But what do you expect $ 100? These products are cut and small and limited amount of slicing to do the work yourself.
If you want to slice larger pieces and / or achieve a perfect slices – go to the knife and a larger more powerful engine.
