Owned 7 months. . . problems began in month 3 (brush did not turn consistently). Now the brush only turns on highest setting and suction is diminished. Spoke with Bissell customer “service” rep, who said he doubted what I told him about my never having to replace a belt in the first year with any vacuum I owned. He suggested that I only vacuumed “once a month or so” with other vacuums. . . and was using the Bissell more often.

Overall, I can say that my dissatisfaction with the vacuum is only surpassed by my dissatisfaction with Bissell customer service.

This product seeems to work on certain fabric. My new sofa doesn’t seem to be one of them. I will be using this for my car.

Tried it –seem to work very well–but my daughter took her dogs back right after I bought it and I gave it to her before I used it the 2nd time. So I really can’t say much about it.
She had a larger vacuum cleaner which she liked and wasn’t so keen on getting it at first.
After using it a number of times she likes it for pillows and other items that are hard to get to with the larger vac. So she likes it and it has found its niche—plus it does a great job with the dog hair.

This vaccum is too heavy to be practical as hand-held (unless you are the incredible hulk). It does suck up the pet hair, but the pet hair attachmen makes it dificult to manuever (sticky, almost). It makes a good car vac. If you really want a great vaccum for removing pet hair or anything else for that matter, get an Oreck–made in the USA, lightweight and lasts for years!

Nothing to really brag about. I thought the suction of cat hair would be much better on the furniture.
